Let God Bless What You Have

It is normal for a lot of us to compare ourselves with others, and in the process, we tend to think that some have it better than us, that we do not have enough. We sometimes think that because we have made mistakes, we have been forsaken or have become less in the eyes of God. God is not limited to use people that have it all together, in reality in the Scriptures we have many examples of God using people that did not have it together, that made mistakes, and did not have enough resources. The examples we read from the bible must reveal the fact that God delights to use people that do not think that they have enough or know that they do not have it together.

“When He went ashore, He saw a large crowd, and felt compassion for them and healed their sick. When it was evening, the disciples came to Him and said, “This place is desolate and the hour is already late; so send the crowds away, that they may go into the villages and buy food for themselves.” But Jesus said to them, “They do not need to go away; you give them something to eat!” They said to Him, “We have here only five loaves and two fish.” And He said, “Bring them here to Me.” Ordering the people to sit down on the grass, He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up toward heaven, He blessed the food, and breaking the loaves He gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds, and they all ate and were satisfied. They picked up what was left over of the broken pieces, twelve full baskets.” (Matthew 14:14–20)

In Matthew 14 we read about the miracle multiplication of the loaves of bread and fishes. The disciples realized the need to feed the multitude but all that they had was not enough. Jesus asked them to bring what they had so that He could bless it and give it back to them, and then the disciples were able to feed the crowd. Everyone has something, some ministry, some gift, some ability, just give it to the Lord and let Him bless it so He can use you to feed others.
